Welcome to Grange House

Grange House is a mixed farming business situated close to the city of York. It has been in the Lazenby family for nearly a century, and is now run with the neighbouring Kettlestring Farm. Traditional crops such as wheat, barley, oilseed rape and beans are grown, and there is a small sheep flock grazing the permanent pasture.
Increasingly, the farm is diversifying. Energy crops are being grown, oilseed rape for biodiesel and miscanthus for electricity production at Drax power station. Environmental schemes are in place to encourage wildlife, particularly birds.
Two ponds (Chaloner and Poplar) have been restored and landscaped into well stocked coarse fisheries.
